(A Message From the Stake)
Dear Shadow Hills Ward Members;
In the next few weeks and months our Stake will be receiving and dispersing more information about the America250 in Idaho Ambassador's Service Challenge. You may have recently received an email from Sam Fife about this. To keep the momentum going, I want to share a couple of resources with you.
The citizens of Idaho have been challenged to perform 250,000 acts of service by July 4th. We all know that Idaho is already a wonderful place with people who are incredibly generous with their money and time. Many give hours of service each week. The State created a website where Idahoans of all ages can record their activities. As of today over 16,000 acts of service have been logged on this website since it launched in January, along with some great photos.
Please spread the word in your wards about this website and encourage them to become a part of history by recording their acts of service.https://www.idahokindness.com
This is a sweet video to spark some inspiration! https://www.facebook.com/reel/876129831858220 If anyone needs help finding a service opportunity, there are lots on JustServe.org
I have attached a nice flyer about the Service Challenge in both PDF and JPEG for your convenience. Medina Blanchet - mailformedina@gmail.com

From 'Come Follow Me' and the Scriptures This Week:
Moses’s earthly ministry began on a mountain, when God spoke to him from a burning bush (see Exodus 3:1–10). It also ended on a mountain, more than 40 years later, when God gave him a glimpse of the promised land from the top of Mount Nebo (see Deuteronomy 34:1–4). Moses had spent his life preparing the children of Israel to enter that promised land, and the book of Deuteronomy records his final instructions, reminders, exhortations, and pleadings with the Israelites. Reading his words makes it clear that the real object of Moses’s ministry—the preparation the people needed—wasn’t about wilderness survival, conquering enemies, or building a nation. It was about learning to love God, obey Him, and remain loyal to Him. That’s the preparation we all need to enter the promised land of eternal life. So although Moses never set foot in the “land flowing with milk and honey” (Exodus 3:8), because of his faith and faithfulness, he did enter the promised land that God has prepared for all those who follow Him.
WARD CHOIR - Psst! Did you hear the news? Ward Choir is looking for those who love to sing! Please come and join us EVERY week from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. We will sing once a month in Sacrament Mtg., so we need everyone to come and participate. Your love of music is all that you need!! "The song of the Righteous is a Prayer Unto Me."/D&C 25:12
